New Delhi: Regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate, NEET (UG) 2026 paper leak, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday said that the government will not allow the education mafia to succeed and that the government is adopting a zero-tolerance policy against such individuals. 

What did Education Minister say about NEET UG paper leak?

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday while acknowledging that the NEET paper leak said that "NTA has issued new date for NEET-UG Exam. The re-exam will be held on June 21. Our highest priority is the students and their future. The government has always remained sensitive toward the hard work and efforts of students."

What improvements have been made in the NEET exam? 

Admit card for the NEET re-exam 2026 will be issued by June 14, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said. NEET re-exam is scheduled to be held on June 21.  

  • No application fees required for NEET re-exam.  
  • The NEET admit card will be issued fresh for re-exam. 
  • NEET exam will be held in computer-based mode from next year. 
  • Students will be given the opportunity to choose their own exam centre for the examination.
  • Candidates appearing for NEET re-exam will get 15-minutes extra. 

What did Education Minister say about mafias?

Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the CBI will investigate the matter thoroughly. Those who attempt to commit fraud will be punished.

The Education Minister stated that a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against those who commit irregularities. This is a long battle against the exam mafia. The NEET exam is being challenged, which is why the investigation has been handed over to the CBI. Now, the CBI will investigate the shortcomings. We will not allow malpractice in this exam. He also warned that the education mafia should stay away from the exam scheduled for June 21st, or they will have to pay the price. He appealed to the society to practice good practices.
