This chilling case comes from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman allegedly killed her husband with the help of her lover. Police say the crime was planned, brutal, and meant to hide evidence completely. The accused woman, Ruby, lived with her husband Rahul, aged thirty eight. Outwardly, everything appeared normal in the household.

But behind closed doors, Ruby was involved in an illicit relationship. When her husband discovered the affair, events took a horrifying turn. According to investigators, anger and fear pushed the accused towards murder. The crime shocked even seasoned police officers.

Why Was A Missing Complaint Filed First?

On November eighteen, Ruby herself went to the police station and filed a missing complaint for her husband Rahul. She claimed he had suddenly disappeared and was not answering calls. This move initially diverted suspicion away from her. Police began routine searches and alerts. Meanwhile, Rahul’s mobile phone was switched off from the same day. Investigators later said this complaint was part of a calculated cover up. It was meant to buy time and confuse the investigation. At that stage, no one imagined the truth was far darker.

What Did Police Find In The Drain?

On December fifteen, police recovered a badly mutilated body from a drain near the Eidgah area. The body was missing the head, hands, and legs. This discovery sent shockwaves through the region. During examination, police found the name “Rahul” written on the torso. This clue linked the body to the missing person case. The remains were sent for postmortem. Forensic teams collected DNA samples to confirm identity. The condition of the body clearly pointed to a planned and violent murder.

How Did Suspicion Fall On The Wife?

As police connected the missing report with the recovered body, suspicion slowly shifted towards Ruby. Technical analysis of call records and movements raised serious questions. During questioning, Ruby reportedly broke down. She confessed that her husband had caught her with her lover Gaurav. Police said she admitted that fear of exposure and confrontation led to the murder plan. Investigators believe the confession matched forensic and technical evidence. At this point, the case changed from missing person to cold blooded murder.

How Was The Murder Carried Out?

According to police, Ruby and Gaurav attacked Rahul using an iron rod and heavy metal pestle. The blows were so severe that Rahul died on the spot. To destroy evidence, the accused then brought a grinder. Using it, they cut the body into multiple pieces. One part was dumped into a nearby drain. Other body parts were taken to Rajghat and thrown into the Ganga river. Police described the act as extremely brutal and disturbing. The planning showed intent to erase all traces.

What Evidence Has Police Recovered?

During the investigation, police recovered the grinder used to cut the body. They also seized iron tools used in the attack. Blood stains and forensic traces were found on these items. DNA samples of the victim have been preserved. Police said these samples will be matched with the DNA of Rahul’s children. This will legally confirm the identity and strengthen the case. Officers stated that the evidence chain is strong. Every recovery supports the confession and crime scene findings.

What Charges And Action Have Followed?

Police Superintendent K.K. Bishnoi confirmed that both accused were arrested on December twenty. They have been sent to judicial custody. A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian justice laws for murder and destruction of evidence. Police say further investigation is ongoing to check if anyone else was involved. The case has deeply disturbed the local community. Authorities say this crime highlights how unchecked relationships and rage can end in irreversible tragedy.
