New Delhi: The trends emerging before the results of West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026 have changed the political picture. In the data till 12 noon, BJP is leading on 185 seats, while Trinamool Congress is leading on 99 seats and other parties on 6 seats. Among these trends, the most discussed issue is the performance of BJP in Muslim dominated seats, which till now have been considered the stronghold of TMC.

The seats in the state with more than 30 percent Muslim population have always decided the electoral equation. TMC has been dominant in these areas, but this time the trends are telling a different story. BJP has achieved unexpected lead in many seats, which has surprised even political analysts.
