Kolkata: The Bharatiya Janata Party secured a landslide victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, meanwhile, Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress, which had been in power for the past 15 years, won only 80 seats. Television Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, who is known for her outspoken style and frank opinions on social media, mocked outgoing Chief Minister for her defeat and said that 'No more rumba-tumba-zumba'.
Taking a dig at the defeat of TMC in West Bengal Assembly election 2026, Devoleena shared a post on social media in which she targeted outgoing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
In the post, the TV actress shared that she hates Mamata Banerjee more than Rahul Gandhi.
Referring to Mamata Bnaerjee as MB and Rahul Gandhi as RG, Devoleena taking to X, wrote, "If i have ever hated a politician thats her. More than RG & gang. Infact i feel RG is a nice person with a very good humor which helps the centre everytime."
"MB & Gang TaTa. Never ever see you again in WB. Worst nightmare WB been gone through for so many years. Paltano dorkar chilo so paalte geiche. No rumba tumba zumba. Now only dhinka chika dhinka chika," she further wrote.
Devoleena's post is rapidly going viral on the internet. Some are praising her style and calling it outspoken. Meanwhile, others are trolling her, telling her to say what she wants to say. Overall, her post has now sparked a major online debate.
The results of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections were declared on Monday. Outgoing Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lost her Bhabanipur seat and was defeated by BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari by over 15,000 votes. While the BJP captured 207 of Bengal's 294 seats, Mamata Banerjee's TMC, which had ruled Bengal for 15 years, was reduced to just 80 seats.
