Insult Of Hindu Deities, Harassment: SHOCKING New Revelation In TCS Scandal

New Delhi: The case involving allegations of attempted religious conversion and sexual harassment at the Nashik branch of the IT giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has left people shocked. Several employees working at the office have been arrested, and the police are currently attempting to apprehend the HR manager. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the matter.

What did the police say?

Police officials told the media that the discovery of an entire network involved in these activities—a network that included not only regular employees but also senior HR managers. It is alleged that the accused would make derogatory remarks about Hindu deities during training sessions.

The accused were part of the training team and possessed comprehensive details regarding the new recruits assigned to them. They specifically targeted individuals who were financially vulnerable or facing personal or familial difficulties; such individuals remained firmly on their radar. Investigations have revealed that even during formal training sessions, the accused would make disparaging comments against Hindu deities. If an employee expressed discomfort regarding these remarks, the HR manager—identified as Nida Khan—would approach them, gradually winning their trust. Subsequently, the employee would be instructed to alter their lifestyle and change their manner of dress.

What did the investigation reveal?

The investigation has further revealed that one employee, who had been targeted by the accused, became so heavily influenced by them that she removed all images of Hindu deities from her home and engaged in severe altercations with her family members. Among those arrested in connection with this entire episode are individuals identified as Shafi Sheikh, Asif Ansari, and Shahrukh Qureshi.

During the course of the investigation, the police also uncovered a WhatsApp group through which the accused would discuss their targets. Furthermore, the bank accounts of the individuals arrested in connection with the sexual harassment and religious conversion allegations are being scrutinized to determine whether they received funds to facilitate these illicit activities. Why is SIT Investigating the Case?

Earlier this week, the police constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate complaints lodged by eight female employees. The complainants had alleged that their senior colleagues subjected them to mental and sexual harassment, and accused the Human Resources Department of ignoring their complaints. The police stated that the arrested employees have been identified as Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansari, and a female Operations Manager—all of whom were suspended after the matter came to light.
