Barrackpore: Campaigning for the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections is set to conclude today. In Barrackpore, located in the North 24 Parganas district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a 'Vijay Sankalp Rally' (Victory Pledge Rally) on Monday. A massive crowd has gathered for this event. Commencing his address, he stated that the soil of Barrackpore is paving the way for a wave of change.

"Wherever I have traveled across Bengal, witnessing such public enthusiasm—even amidst this scorching heat—has instilled in me the absolute confidence that, following the results on May 4, I will certainly be returning to attend the BJP's swearing-in ceremony," PM Modi said.

What did PM Modi say?

PM Modi remarked, "This is my final rally of this election campaign. I am departing with the firm conviction that, once the results are declared on May 4th, I will undoubtedly be present for the BJP's swearing-in ceremony. This belief has further heightened my enthusiasm. I was making my way here from the helipad—a journey of approximately two kilometers. The crowds lining both sides of the route were so immense that I could scarcely imagine thousands of people turning out at such an early hour just to offer me their blessings."

PM Modi reiterated, "This is my final rally of this election campaign.

PM Modi stated, "Ever since I left my own home, I have found true happiness and solace only in your midst; indeed, you are my family. For the past three or four decades, I have been traveling to every nook and cranny of this country. Since entering politics—and specifically after joining the Bharatiya Janata Party—I have faithfully discharged every responsibility entrusted to me by the party in my capacity as a BJP *Karyakarta* (worker). Shouldering electoral responsibilities has been an integral part of that very journey."

PM Modi stated, "When the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla took place in Ayodhya in January 2024, I observed an 11-day spiritual regimen. During this election, I have experienced a similar spiritual resonance—much like the feeling one gets while visiting a temple of the Goddess. Underlying this sentiment is my deep affection for Bengal."

Referencing the prosperity of the past, PM Modi remarked, "In the past, when India was a prosperous nation, it stood upon three strong pillars: Anga, Banga, and Kalinga. Anga represented Bihar; Banga, Bengal; and Kalinga, Odisha. When these three pillars weakened, India's collective strength suffered a severe blow. Today, as India marches forward with the goal of becoming a developed nation, it is imperative that Anga, Banga, and Kalinga are strengthened once again. India's destiny—its rise to greatness—remains incomplete without the 'Purvodaya' (the rise of the East); indeed, the greatest force driving India's resurgence is the resurgence of the East."

What did PM Modi say about Vande Mataram?

PM Modi asserted that 'Vande Mataram' served as the mantra that inspired India's liberation from colonial bondage. He added, "In the 21st century, we must transform 'Vande Mataram' into the mantra for the regeneration and reconstruction of Bengal. To serve Bengal, to safeguard Bengal, and to rescue Bengal from the colossal challenges currently confronting it—this is both my destiny and my solemn duty. And I shall not waver or retreat from this responsibility."

PM Modi further stated, "On one hand, the mills and factories that once provided employment to the people are shutting down; yet, on the other hand, illicit workshops manufacturing crude bombs—which serve only to provide employment to thugs and goons—are flourishing unchecked. The 'shops' run by the TMC's syndicate are expanding their operations. This is the TMC's 'Maha-Jungle Raj'—a reign of utter lawlessness.

The TMC possesses no roadmap for the future of Bengal. Instead, it is the illicit factories of the TMC's syndicate that are expanding here. This is the true face of the TMC's 'Maha-Jungle Raj.' The TMC *must* be defeated. The BJP will establish here a true 'Janata Janardan Ka Raj'—a governance that embodies the will and spirit of the people."
