Nagpur: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is launching a nationwide campaign to mark its 100th anniversary and to promote the country's commitment to becoming a "Vishwaguru." At an event in Nagpur, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat urged attendees to have four children and dedicate one of them to the Sangh as a volunteer.
While addressing a gathering of Swayamsevaks at a ceremony of Bharatdurga Shaktisthal and Dharma Sabha in Nagpur, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat spoke of resolving to restore India's glory.
During the address, Mohan Bhagwat urged people to have four children and dedicate one of them to the Sangh as a volunteer.
During his speech, the Sangh chief also praised the selfless service of the volunteers. He said that whenever any disaster strikes the country, whether natural or otherwise, RSS workers are the first to respond. He also said that service and dedication are the true identity of the RSS, and this strength distinguishes it in society.
In his address, Mohan Bhagwat also spoke about India's global standing. He said that the world is looking to India with hope today, and that India's role in the future will be extremely important. He added that while some may be skeptical, India is certain to move forward towards becoming a "Vishwaguru." To achieve this, every segment of society must work with confidence.
“If you see it right now, you cannot figure out if India is going to be Vishwaguru," he added.
To reinforce his point, the RSS chief cited the example of the Ram Temple movement, explaining that there was a time when there was uncertainty about the resolution of this issue, but ultimately, the Supreme Court's decision cleared the way for the temple's construction. He added that similarly, even big goals are accomplished over time; all that is required is faith and sustained effort.
“Such is the system in the world; our position is yet to be solidified and it is in process. Whether it would happen or not is what we feel. We will have to free ourselves from this doubt. Such were the doubts for Ram Mandir too," he added.
“But eventually, the Supreme Court order came. What has to happen will certainly happen. Given the condition of the world today, if the world doesn’t take the path of India, will there be a future? Do not have any doubts regarding what is essential," he added.
