Mumbai: Bollywood stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, while absent from the Met Gala, made headlines online when they visited the beach to shoot a song for their upcoming film 'King'. The on-screen couple, who will be seen romancing each other in the film, were seen filming a song and dance sequence on the beach.

Viral photos from the shoot show the actors, dressed in light, neutral colors, walking towards each other amid the sunset and engaging in a romantic scene.

Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan were seen dancing two or three times, stopping occasionally to return to their respective positions. Although the beach was closed, a large crowd gathered to watch them shoot.

Where did Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika shoot dance video?

Shah Rukh and Deepika arrived in South Africa last week to begin shooting. The shooting began with a song sequence. A video from the set also shows a glimpse of the song, which is rumored to be an Ed Sheeran song.

Shah Rukh Khan was also spotted shooting scenes in a car. According to media reports, the on-screen couple were in Cape Town to shoot a climax scene. These photos and videos from the film's set surfaced after director Siddharth Anand shared a note on his X account, urging netizens not to share leaked images from the film, emphasising that the team is working tirelessly to deliver the best cinematic experience.

His message read: “REQUEST TO ALL THE FANS. Please do not post or circulate any leaked multimedia from the sets of KING. The team is working round the clock to ensure the best cinematic experience for everyone. Let us wait for the surprise on the big screen and for the assets to be revealed as the team of King originally intends to. Thank you for your love, support and cooperation. Shah Rukh Khan in & as KING.”

Will King clash with other films?

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone's 'King' is one of the biggest Bollywood films of 2026. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 24, just a week after the release of Hollywood films 'Avengers: Doomsday' and 'Dune: Part 3'. Although the film is releasing a week later, its timing has created one of the biggest box office clashes ever. 

The film also features Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, and Jaideep Ahlawat.
