New Delhi: The decision to re-conduct NEET-UG 2026 has increased the problems of lakhs of students. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has set the new date of examination as June 21, but students say that they have got very limited time to prepare. Students say that it is extremely unfair to give them only 37 days to prepare. Candidates, who were already facing stress after the paper leak controversy and cancellation of the examination, are now again facing the problems of preparation and travel. A large number of students are expressing their anger and disappointment on social media.
Many students wrote on social media platform One student wrote, "We are not machines. We study hard every day, but paper leaks and system errors have made our future a joke." This post was shared thousands of times.
Many students had already returned to their homes from Kota, Delhi and other coaching cities. Now they may have to come back again. Students say the sudden travel, accommodation arrangements and additional expenses have placed a new burden on families. Some students have also raised the demand for changing the examination city.
Students are in constant uncertainty since the cancellation of exams. Some students wrote on social media that they were emotionally exhausted and were finding it difficult to concentrate on their studies. Many candidates say that the constantly changing decisions have completely spoiled the rhythm of their preparation.
The biggest question among students and parents is regarding the security of the examination. Many people are asking that if the paper is leaked for the first time, what is the guarantee that it will not happen again. Some students even demanded that this time the examination process should be monitored by security agencies.
The NEET-UG paper leak case is currently being investigated by the CBI. Initial investigation has raised suspicion of a network spread across several states. Agencies are trying to find out to whom the question paper reached before the examination and who was involved in it.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the government will not compromise with the future of the students and the examination will be conducted with complete transparency. NTA claims that this time the security arrangements will be more strict than before.
At present, the biggest question before the students is whether they will be able to prepare themselves mentally and academically again in such a short time. Lakhs of candidates are now just hoping for a fair and reliable examination.
